Co Creating Our Dramatic Center

 the beginning of our forest

Using our sense of smell This week the children will help to co create our dramatic center. After reading the story
“Big Bear Hug” written by Nicholas Oldland, and “Brown Bear, Brown Brown, What Do You See?” Written by Bill Martin Jr/Eric Carle the children used the stuffed bears, reptiles, and snakes found within our room as part of their own play last week. So this week we are creating our own forest and hibernation center. Here in the following pictures you can see the children painting our very own forest, and using their senses to explore peices of nature found on our nature walk last week.

  1. Love the article, and thanks for the cute picture of Kayla. I always love seeing their little faces while they are in the creating mode. The FDK program has so many facets that utilizes the children’s senses. In my experience children need to use their senses to be engaged in meaningful experiences, and this program does that. I look forward to hearing about Kayla’s day at school each day, and she is equally excited to share. There is always a new adventure, so far we are really enjoying the FDK program 🙂
